Hi. Just wondering is anyone having problems with their 2021 superb? Since day one nearly, a knocking sound when turning steering wheel at a low speed. Garage took it back several times and changed the steering racket on it at the end of September. Problem still there.

I think all MQB platformed cars can have problems with knocking noises coming from the top mounts.

Dealer can replace but I don’t believe the part has been modified or the issue rectified.

@vectra didnt you have this issue.

I have it on my Octavia depending on the weather.

I'm more concerned about the terrible dampening on the front suspension. It bounces like hell.

I had it in my last (Red ) Ateca. But had totally forgotten about it until you mentioned it. Maybe they have sorted it?

Have they changed the suspension on later Superb 3s....

The 2016 model my brother has doesn't have "bounces like hell" front suspension on it and its got over 100 k kms from new.

Wouldn't really be our experience with two in the family. Maybe on fast undulating roads a bit as the car is tuned for comfort, but motorway/city she's a comfortable bus.

Re noises anti roll bar bushes are notorious for creaking (over speed bumps and the like) but would've thought that would be sorted by 2021. Regular spray grease helps.

My DSG MK3 was bouncy at the front, my manual gearbox less so

It's going in for a service and I've asked for it to be checked. Took off again doing it today on country B roads that I've never had an issue on before in any car. It's a great motorway Cruiser, hugely economical and takes a big load in the boot. I'm not a huge fan of the actual seat adjustment which impacts comfort but I'm wondering is this just the seats in my spec level.

If no issue is found then it might be worth looking into replacing all four with a set of Koni Special Active shocks. Its a popular upgrade for owners who find the originals soggy.

FWIW, I didn't like the seats in my 2016 Ambition. The 2021 model seats are more comfortable.
