Should I change these spark plugs?

I had a coil pack and spark plug jump out of my 06 Mk8 Honda civic 1.4 petrol this morning.

I've ordered a new coil pack and spark plug but should I change the rest of the plugs too or will I get away with the bad one?

There's 8 and they're €25 each 😭

Depends on the mileage. Theyre due every 7 years or 120,000 kms.

Only 75,000km on them but they're 6 years old. Going by the picture, do they look excessively worn? If I can get another year out of them, great 👍

Check the gap against the manufacturers spec. This one here says 3.5mm.

Id say you`ll be grand with them. They dont look that bad to me. As long as the single one you are changing is the exact same.

Thats because there are 2 types of spark plugs on that year civic. Ones an Iridium plug (the dearer one) thats recommended every 7 years or 120k a and the other is non iridium which is due every 40k. Usually the iridium ones are found in the ones with 8 plugs and the non iridium in ones that only have 4 plugs but there are a couple of exceptions.

Youre not supposed to interchange them or downgrade the iridium to normal plugs as they can make it run like **** so stick with whatever is in it.

Yes, you're right, maybe my point was lost. They are the same iridium as the Alfa TwinSpark took, I know them well. They used to cost 32 EUR per plug back when I was working on Alfas (dealer prices), but I could get them from the UK for £7 each.

My point was to check the clearance of the gap as both the iridium element and the ground would erode and the gap would increase. A good clean and adjustment of the gap would get you another few 10k's down the road.

While adjusting the gap, only decrease the gap by bending the ground finger downwards; don't adjust out upwards by prying with a screw-driver between the iridium tip and finger, otherwise the tip will fracture.
