Question for a tiler

We have the kitchen tiled and used a half tile for skirting. We have picked a vinyl flooring for an adjoining utility room and hope to slope the floor at the door using something like a tub of ready mixed floor adhesive suitable for concrete floors so that both floors end up level.

Question: We would like to use leftover tiles for skirting but will it be okay to stick them with the floor adhesive?

I'm unclear about the question to a tiler (which I am not): You want to stick the sloped half tiles to the existing floor with adhesive, is that it? Wouldn't any tiles be stuck with adhesive? Maybe you can clarify this?

We want to make a little slope on the floor using floor adhesive so when the lino flooring goes down both rooms will be level.

The question is can we use the floor adhesive to stick the skirting on? The skirting is a half tile.

Oh yes, if the skirting is a half-tile, then absolutely. It's far better than some of the skirting adhesives as it's slightly flexible, but just make sure that the substrate is solid and has any loose paint removed. You can use a tilers primer if it's dusty or unprepared plaster.

Thanks we were not sure if it was okay to use the floor adhesive or to buy special wall adhesive.
