Blocking youtube ads on safari (iPhone)

    Is there any easy - and free - way of blocking ads on youtube with safari? I don't know why it can be so easy to do this on your PC with google chrome, and yet it seems difficult on safari. A lot of web pages about this issue are referring to safari on mac PCs, and I don't know if such methods also apply to an iPhone.  Some websites tell you that you can solve this problem via the settings on your phone, but I'm pretty certain that wouldn't work. So what would be the best way of going about it?
