Pre-built PC from Irish retailer, budget €2000

I'm looking to have a company build a decent PC for me, it's been a few years since I built a PC so am out of the loop with recent hardware specs. I've looked at the likes of custompc.ie but don't know where to start with a build spec, so advice most welcome thank you.

This PC will be for a mix of game development using Unreal Engine 5, 3D modelling and rendering using Blender, some VR applications and some gaming. I need to purchase it from an irish retailer (tax reasons!) and would prefer to have it built and warrantied. Thanks in advance!

1. What is your budget? €2000

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? 3D modelling (Blender), 3D game development (Unreal Engine 5), VR (compatibility with 4k headsets a major bonus), games such as Minecraft (with ray tracing mod) and similar.

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? Yes

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? No

5. Do you need a monitor? No

5b. If no, what resolution is your current monitor and do you plan to upgrade in the near future? 3840x2160, no plans to upgrade

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? None required

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? No

8. How can you pay? Credit Card

9. When are you purchasing? This week

10. If you need help building it, where are you based? Dublin, but happy to purchase from any builder in Ireland

While i get what you want the PC to do . What is the PC actually for ? SHowcasing products , game creation , freelance work , or doing all as a hobby with the hope of starting a buisness ? I can give you specs all day long of what you need and maybe get you in the ballpark of your budget . The cost of the machine wont only be dictated by the type of work you want it for . There are time constraints aswell . For instance if you have a limited time to do things and you have a massive workload the the purse strings will have to be drasticaly losened . Unfortunately its is a case of the more money you throw at what your doing the quicker you can get it done .

Now as for CustomPC.ie . i would say stay away from them . Currently they are charging a heck of a lot over the odds for what they build . Most of the PC pats are dirt cheap and dont suit the systems . I wouldnt put a high end high power processor in the cheap gimmicky motherboards thay use . I have gone through their product builder pages . Not great in my ipinion .

Now my advice for a prebuilt is not gonna go well if you can afford more than 2 grand . However i would recomend building one yoursdelf . YOu can build a new PC with the latest generation AMD processors and a nvidia RTx 3080 for just a little over €2500 . Same with an intel based PC . Everything will have a 1 year warranty anyways . Since you said you have experience with building PCs i think that this is the best option for you .

However do some research first on what is best for you and what you wnat to do . Youtube is your friend for benchmarks on hardware and productivity . ALso check out gamers nexus website as they do both youtube bideos and written articles . Another good source is puget systmes webite . Pugit systems whole thing is building custom computers for production and and gaming . THey have vast amounts of information to do with productivity and what combinations of hardware are suitable for each taks .
