@Gregor Samsa The goal of shutting down NS2 was achieved openly and legally through cooperation, without any violence or subterfuge. This is a fact.

But it wasn't shut down though negotiations the Russians turned the taps several weeks ago before it getting permanently removed by explosion.

    From Sky News:

Moscow to consider an attack on annexed regions an attack on Russia itself

Any attack on soon-to-be annexed parts of Ukraine will be considered an attack on Russia itself, the Kremlin says.

Asked if an attack by Ukraine on the territories Russia is claiming as its land would be considered an attack on Russia, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said: "It would not be anything else."

Asked what would happen to the parts of those territories not under Russian control, Peskov said: "It is to be liberated."

So there is no evidence of Russia or the US doing this, correct? And the only country to threaten the pipelines discontinuation is the US.

So once again you agree, no evidence of Russia attacking the pipelines?

You're confusing NS1 with NS2. Germany refused to certify NS2 back on the 22nd of February, before commercial gas even began to flow, and that put an end to it.

    sick, isn't it?

These comedy shows have some value though - he keeps trying to link previous Russian historical eras and famous figures to the current day. It demonstrates how he's lost all perspective. Anyone who advocates negotiation with this guy should be forced to watch this on a loop.

    The world is not enough.....

Putin is either stopped now or he just works his way systematically through his list of other areas / countries that he thinks should belong to Russia.

Indeed, good to know that nobody knew what they were doing when they broke up the Soviet Union...

He keeps going for these political set pieces to swing momentum back in his favour but it makes sweet FA difference on the ground in Ukraine

Expect that Nuclear power plant to wind up in the news again as he tries to find a way to escalate

This is a preposterous argument, and a deliberate attempt to distract form the topic at hand. It's been demonstrated time and time again that the US said that NS2 would be stopped if Russia invaded, and it was stopped on the 22nd of February. That's the end of the story. To then link this to the explosions is not a rational, independent analysis; it's a wilful misrepresentation of the facts. Whether intended or not, this misrepresentation of the facts only serves - and mirrors - Russia's position.

The lack of evidence for Russia doing it is not evidence that the USA did it.

You can't magic facts our of existence, or create new ones, with irrelevant distraction.

Ramzan Kadyrov had an interesting expression when the camera was on him a few minutes ago. Big "teenager forced to sit through mass" energy

What is it about Russian leaders back to Krustchev that they can talk on and on in great inflated speeches saying f-all of substance? Jus he really is taking some shite load of cliches for the nodding heads in attendence. I'd say the ones that the camera's focus in on are bricking in in case they are not seen to be enthuasatic enough. Great he acknowledged the brave "volunteers" who joined up at the point of a gun just like those that voted in the referendum. Did he give out the official results yet or is that not necessary since it was so resounding?

It's interesting that once again Putin's calling for peace talks and negotiations to end the war.

He genuinely seems to think that because Russia has annexed this territory, he can essentially take the ball and go home now.

    Breaking News.......

    Russia finds cure for insomnia.

He's insane. I said it when he was speechifying ahead of the initial invasion and I'm saying it again now.

Even the nuttiest QAnon conspiracy-monger on the internet wouldn't spout this garbage.

the body language of the audience is very telling, they don't look enthused in any way

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,549 ✭✭✭Raoul Duke III

Some classic projection going on here as he accuses 'the West' of all the things he is guilty of.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 146 ✭✭Wes M.

They don’t want to see us a free society. They want to see us as a crowd of slaves.

    It's embarassing....
