Yes it was definitely America that set off a bomb in the Baltic sea without alerting any NATO allies to their plan and creating a massive shipping hazard in the process, they had to in order to prevent Putin from using the basically non-functioning NS as a bargaining chip. It's also amazing that this incredibly secretive and covert mission that took most EU countries by surprise was instantly figured out by thousands of different accounts all over various social media platforms almost simultaneously the very same day. Nothing strange there at all, I'm certainly convinced... (/s for those with their sarcasm detectors on low)

But thats it Russia wants to bring this war to the people. We want to forget about Ukraine. This is not about Ukraine. This is about war with the USA.

With this action Putin hopes he's achieved that action.

This is not about money. It's about trying to get the people behind him again in a war with the USA.

He can even spin it that he's not at war with Europe. European politicians know he feckin blew it to save his own skin. But he has to get the european people on the ground to believe that Putin is the answer. Biden is the devil. Just go on Twitter there's hundreds of Putin shills decrying America now and that the US has taken away their chances of a warm winter and any chance of peace with Russia.

    That tells everything about this.

putins sham elections, annexations and repeated nuclear war message is much more frequent and stronger ..

its either an accident, the ukranians (unlikely), putin blowing up his own pipelines when he doesnt need to or the americans fulfilling bidens promise from february to stop these pipelines while simultaneously letting vlad know he cant threaten nukes or america will definitely get involved...

Nothing makes sense that’s why it’s clearly putin

I've nothing against the Russians...I always wanted to go there. This is a class song.

Mother Russia how are you sleeping?

    Middle winter cold winds blow

From the trees the snowflakes drifting

Swirling 'round like ghosts in the snow

    Mother Russia poetry majestic

Tells the time of a great empire

Turning 'round the old man ponders

    Reminiscing an age gone by

    Mother Russia

    Dance of the Tsars

    Hold up your heads

Be proud of what you are

    Now it has come

    Freedom at last

    Turning the tides of history

    And your past

    Mother Russia

    Dance of the Tsars

    Hold up your heads

    Remember who you are

    Can you release

    The anger the grief?

    Can you be happy

    Now your people are free

To signal that you can blow others up too. Europe would be in deep poo if it had a cold winter and the gas pipelines out of Norway got blown as well.

uniflu1200 you're new to this parish so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt

at least your username this time around wasn't Sean Og Peig Sayers O Gill (cause that would be give the game away real quick)

How do I know the Americans didn't sabotage Nord Stream I / II . . . because the American political system is currently a 'house divided' and I'm quiet sure that an attack like this would be leaked to the press faster that natural gas explodes out of a Russian energy pipeline detonated by high explosives (boom)!

I always suspected that it was a Russian 'false flag' but now that the boiler room in Orwell Road is posting "but 'merica what done it" it's crystal clear who it is responsible for this ecological clusterf*ck

To misquote Douglas Adams : No thanks for all the the dead fish

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,432 ✭✭✭combat14

if he blows that pipeline its effectively all out war with europe one way or another .. it may not be troops on ground but europe will stop at nothing to defeat putin

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,508 ✭✭✭✭TheValeyard

I doubt the Americans did it. Especially without telling their NATO allies. It makes little sense.

Dont believe its the Ukrainians either. They're a bit busy these days...

Russians.... Also doesnt make much sense, they now only have one pipeline with access to Europe, not much of a bargaining chip really.

A third party trying to cause further problems or manipulate fuel prices? I'm at a loss..

We sure this wasnt a bizzare accident by tectonic activity?

Or maybe it was the Germans, just ending the Nord problem once and for all.

Or we could go old school and just blame Israel.

All eyes on Kursk. Slava Ukraini.

Why do these keep being touted as US in origin when they are Norwegian?

NASAMS (Norwegian Advanced Surface to Air Missile System)

The Norwegian company Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace teamed up with Raytheon and initiated the NASAMS programme as a cooperative effort for the Royal Norwegian Air Force...Manufacturer Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace.

It was the russians, it was done so haphazardly and obviously it can't really be anyone else.

Another dumb move in a never ending series by putin.

Next will be the kremlin spin that the sub was just visiting the area for the great cathedral.

    Dumbasses will lap it up.

Putin has to get a simple message to his citizens who currently don't want to fight and want to leave the country. That if you don't fight America on this there won't be a Russia. He couldn't have that when people were saying "feck that you're just imperialist with your expansionist aims in Ukraine. Fight yourself". "Knock yourself off!"

America are already supplying europe with gas and germany had no intention of looking off the russians again. There was no gain for the Americans to do so now. In February yes. But not now.

The mobilisation is a clusterfuck, Putin has form in staging false flag attacks to shore up support at home.

The protests in Dagestan were getting quite a bit of coverage internationally, what's everyone talking about now?

The EU are openly switching their gas purchases to alternative suppliers, NS1 and 2 may never have restartef anyway.

    Nothing to see here...

    Closing in on

    The Eastern border

    It's a unicentric

    One world order

    With Sino-Russian

    Capitulation

    It's an orchestrated

    End of nations

    Food prices soaring

    As the sanctions kicked in

And all the hawks cried more

    Oil prices falling

    And the propaganda

    Talks war

    Minerva has decreed

    A state of attrition, hostilities

    New Cold War!

    New Cold War!

    New Cold War!

    In the Arctic wastes

    Under sheets of ice

    Mineral resources

    Corporate forces eye

    Occupation

    Ensures supply

    Colour coded revolutions

    Sustain the lie

    Food prices soaring

    As the sanctions kicked in

And all the hawks cried more

    Oil prices falling

    And the propaganda

    Talks war

    Minerva has decreed

    A state of attrition, hostilities

    New Cold War!

    New Cold War!

    New Cold War!

    Breaking in a cold sweat

Just like the good old days

    The drum beat of hostilities

    Has started to play

    A perverted thrill

    Reminiscent of the big chill

    Hair trigger

    Giving everyone a shiver

    Food prices soaring

    As the sanctions kicked in

And all the hawks cried more

    Oil prices falling

    And the propaganda

    Talks war

    Minerva has decreed

    A state of attrition, hostilities

    New Cold War!

Isn't there a few clips floating around about an American Guy saying no matter what he'll stop the pipeline if Russia invaded somewhere or other.

What's your interpretation of that comment ?

The Polish dude already thanked him for it.

We're all told to suffer consequences and freeze due to someone annexing a rogue state. Yet during the former wars during the 90's and 00's everything ran smoothly.

Can you not put the pieces together. A lot of this ain't making sense.

Possibly payback for the sham elections or maybe there was a heads-up that Russia were about to offer gas in return for the easing of sanctions.

So probably a message too, but TO Russia, not from.

The EU is now off the teat for the foreseeable.

Could be a very smart move - desperate times require desperate measures.

Makes far too much sense alright, it's as conclusive as the referenda over the weekend

How is it? He's murdered a UK citizen and attempted to murder a police constable - nothing; he shot down a Civillian airliner, killing 298 passengers and crew - nothing; he invaded and anexed Crimea - nothing; he invaded Ukraine and has killed tens of thousands of civillians - nothing; he's kidnapped probably at least 250,000 children from Ukraine - nothing.

And you think that if pipelines between Norway and Europe spring leaks - with no actual proof as to why, that there will now suddenly be such incredible outrage over some broken infrastructure that something useful and concrete will actually be done when all this stuff done to human beings hasn't triggered such a response?

    All out war my backside.

Have the Russians blamed the Americans yet?

If they have, then the Russians did it. I'll reserve judgement until I hear their denial, though.
