Makes no sense for the Americans to do it. Why would a president that said that in February and that the Kremlin had ready to fire out in propaganda to their minions do it and have that thrown back at them?

100% it was the Russians. Putin was on the ropes. His people were rising against him. He sent in his riot squads to crush them but he needed to stop more.

What do you do then but the same copybook that Putin and russia has followed since day one, attack, deny, lie. He thinks he's pulled a masterstroke and now has Russians against the US. As "obviously" it was the US that attacked Russian infrastructure. Oh the shame, oh the hurt world, the US has attacked us.

Whereas before it was Putin attacking Ukrainians albeit with western weapons. Now it's moscuvites. The US has directly attacked Russia. Rail to the flag people. Know who your enemy is. It's not me Mister Putin. It's Mr.Biden and his warmongering.

Why would I Mr.Putin attack my own gas pipelines that Germany and Europe were not using for gas now. It makes no sense.

But thats it Russia wants to bring this war to the people. We want to forget about Ukraine. This is not about Ukraine. This is about war with the USA.

With this action Putin hopes he's achieved that action.

This is not about money. It's about trying to get the people behind him again in a war with the USA.

He can even spin it that he's not at war with Europe. European politicians know he feckin blew it to save his own skin. But he has to get the european people on the ground to believe that Putin is the answer. Biden is the devil. Just go on Twitter there's hundreds of Putin shills decrying America now and that the US has taken away their chances of a warm winter and any chance of peace with Russia.

if he blows that pipeline its effectively all out war with europe one way or another .. it may not be troops on ground but europe will stop at nothing to defeat putin

Why do these keep being touted as US in origin when they are Norwegian?

Putin has to get a simple message to his citizens who currently don't want to fight and want to leave the country. That if you don't fight America on this there won't be a Russia. He couldn't have that when people were saying "feck that you're just imperialist with your expansionist aims in Ukraine. Fight yourself". "Knock yourself off!"

America are already supplying europe with gas and germany had no intention of looking off the russians again. There was no gain for the Americans to do so now. In February yes. But not now.
