Sitcom from the early 00's

    Hopefully someone can remember the name of this show as it's slowly driving me insane!

    The show is American, early 00's and the main premise is a man in his late 30's (I think) thats single and looking for a partner with the help of his friends.

    The cast is diverse - one friend is black, another is Indian/Pakistani, another a female friend.

    I think he is a doctor in the show but can't be sure.

    The first episode has him hooking up with a girl back at her place but he bolts as she's in to some freaky stuff and her place is strange - its like a jungle in her apartment (animals + plants) and an orangutan starts feeling the main dude up, I think thats how it goes anyway.

    Any help greatly appreciated!
