will be travelling through Dublin airport next Wednesday on a ryanair flight departing at 9.30. Anybody know what the airport is like at the moment. I have to check in 1 bag and wondering what’s the wait time and also through security. Thanks !

7.30 will be plenty of time. Ryanair have self-service bag drop so there are no long queues. Security queue times are not a problem anymore. I was through in 5 minutes last Saturday at 6 am.

Agree with above. Its a few weeks since we flew but zero issues with queues for bag drop with ryanair or with security queues. Bon voyage.

Does anyone know with Ryanair if you try to drop a bag in yourself with more than 2 hours before flight departure time will the conveyor belt reject taking your bag through until it's 2 hours or less. This has happened to me twice this year where I would have been over the 2 hours slightly and a member of staff was able to over ride it, at least that's what looked like the issue was, bag was going nowhere while those checking in beside me were.

I check a bag though that 3 hours before in early August with no intervention from staff. Maybe even 15 mins earlier than that. And it was ryanair.

Worked for me @Atlantic Dawn last Wednesday. I was over three hours early for my Ryanair flight from Dublin and dropped of the bag myself with no bother.

Yes it was odd, it was before the summer when things were relatively running as normal in Dublin, just thought it strange that it happened with 2 flights and I was probably somewhere around 2.5 hours or so before departure time on both, was 7am or so at bag drop.

Just one thing to keep an eye out for - we were in queue for bag drop for Ryanair and it can be a bit confusing as sometimes the queue for visa/immigration stamps is in the same place and the queues can merge so you might need to ask people ahead what they're queuing for. Last 2 times though no queue at all for bag drop.
