    Hi there

I'm having problems with my laptop. It is saying 'We couldn't complete the updates. Undoing changes. Don't turn off your computer.'

Been like that for a few hours with no change. Laptop was working fine last week.

    Any suggestions please?

    Apologies for the photo.

    Thanks

    Hi there

The previous message was 'Getting Windows ready. Don't turn off your computer.'

The laptop wasn't turned off during this procedure. Unless WiFi went down for some period.

Apologies again for the rotation of the photo.

Do you know if the hard drive was near full before the updates began or any other issues?

I have had similar occur before with me, plenty of hard drive space, wifi working fine. It might work fine after just turning it off now and back on again resuming where it was, may also result in corruption of Windows, it's a coinflip really as to what happens. I don't think there's anything that can be done besides turning it off and back on at this stage and just hope for the best.

If it gets to a stage where it only offers to reintall Windows wiping all contents of the laptop you might be better to bring it to a specialist if there's files you wish to restore prior to this happening.

    Thanks

I'm fairly sure the hard drive was fairly full as at times it takes ages to log on.

I don't know at the time what the Internet speed.
