Job Application Monitoring Form

Hi All,

Not looking for advice or anything, but just thought I'd share this and see what peoples reactions are.

Whilst going through my emails, I came across a previous job application (applied 3 years ago). This job application required me to fill out a "Monitoring form", and I found a couple of the questions to be quite strange.

Heres a snippet of two of the questions:

Now I blanked out the company name for obvious reasons, but what do people think about these questions?

Businesses over a certain size are required to collect this in NI and make an annual return to the equality commission

If you continued along the line you started to blank out, you'd know they are required to do so by law. Now what is your problem with a company fulfilling their legal obligations???? The law is a political issue, perhaps if you do a bit of googling you'll find some debates etc... about the law that will give you a bit of context.

Yes, you are correct, I should have researched further but there is no need for the narky comment.

I still find it interesting that this specific information is needed by the company, as although the parent company is based in NI, the office that I applied to was/is based in Donegal. I will seek further information elsewhere. Thanks.
