PSF flush: Is it safe to use the method in the video? Does the PS pump get damaged if I do this?

I jacked the front of the car up, both wheels off the ground and did that but without the engine running. Just turning the wheels lock to lock and the fluid will be pumped out.

Obviously drain the M/C first and refill and then keep it supplied with fresh fluid during the process.

What is "M/C"? if the engine is started, will the pump get damaged or something?

I just find that with the engine running it all happens way too fast, if you just do it by the pressure of the steering rack it is easier to control and manage and it doesn't get as messy.
