Hi guys I have just bought a new Hotpoint Gas Cooker and have been told that I have to get a certified Gas Engineer to install it, I have installed my previous two without any problems so why now do I need an Engineer, the guy at the shop said that its set up for LPG but the Engineer will have to test the jets ???? Legally you are obliged to engage an RGI (registered gas installer) to do any installation or repair work on gas appliances.
