    Hi

i recently bought a nice Broom 30 Skipper and have started the process to restore it and am new to boating .

I have been trying to find access to the bilge as the water pumped out reaks of oil. Either fuel or other bits must have spilled into it at sone point.

What is is best way to clean it?

Also, i have sone problems with water getting into the wheelhouse when it rains through the door and appears under the doorframe and has rotted the panel inside.

Amy advice would be greatly welcome

    thanks

    Stephan

Pump bilge water into a transparent drum. Allow to settle. Syphon off the lower aqueous layer, or invert, loosen cap, dribble. Or use a drum with a low tap. Repeat.

Discharge drum in a garage forecourt/car wash, with owners permission, or other place.
