I don't miss the pandemic, I miss empty streets with very little traffic, the city centre was quiet, good for a cyclist. Now its almost back to normal apart from many shops closed , boarded up buildings, empty office buildings. I think it's nice that more people have options to work from home, it's like we fast forwarded into the future with so many people using zoom , students learning online.

Of course going to school online young people missed out social interactions making friends which is an important part of going to school as much as the academic learning process

It shows the Internet is absolutely vital to keep business government going in the midst of an pandemic or some other future crisis

Thankyou Strumms.. For putting it back in proportion. ..I was and am in my own "lockdown",, As my immune system is down and because of illness I live in isolation anyways. So those whiles were in some ways easier as there were far better services than previously. So I was a spectator ... Feeling for all of you. And yes, youtube and the internet were and are a lifeline..

Good lord no. At the very start, it was a novelty - working from home, pace of life relaxing (of course not for all) but the good weather helped. Even Zoom meetups were kinda fun. But then it got shyte, not good mentally, emotionally, physically... no thanks.

Kinda miss being able to avoid the social obligation of occasions like funerals.

I prefer the option of sympathising with a phone call or a card.

That's the only thing I miss. All in, so happy my kids can have normality in their lives.

As I said in a previous post the pandemic inspired us to make a massive move and it's working out brilliantly. We got out of Dublin thanks to a work transfer in my wifes job and our quality of life has massively improved. The pandemic gave us the push, but I do not miss it.

I've had a parent die during lockdown, not covid related. I feel bad that they didn't get the send of they deserved. Currently waiting on news of an aunt in next few hours/days and dreading the thoughts of attending an actual funeral 😐️

My friend got a relatively good deal on a house across the street from where she was renting. The sellers had to move, and queues of people viewing wasn't an option... so my friend's offer was accepted. Worked out amazingly.

Working from home? Sign me in! Barely any traffic? Great! But if what it takes is the pandemic, no, thanks.
