Doing up a camper question

Quick question/suggestions requested! Doing up a camper which has lots of brown stretch carpet on the walls. I really don’t like it. Can I paint it? If-so,is there a special paint? Will chalk paint work? Do I use a roller or paint brush? Advice appreciated. Thanks

If you really don't like it, try a hidden area and see if you can scrape it off easily. If so, replace it all with stretchy carpet using spray glue. I wouldn't bother trying to cover it up.
