We were halfway to Dublin in the car and stopped in J14. Irish Ferries said our 2.10pm swift ferry was cancelled and we would be accommodated on the 8.55pm Ulysses. We got meal vouchers at check in. Is there anything else we can claim for for this delay?

EU1177 is the equivalent of EU261 for plane. The compensation amount for that delay (>2h on an <4h sailing) on that trip would be 50% of the fare, and there are quite a few exceptions which they may try to claim.

One week since my email to Irish Ferries. No reply.

They replied one week ago saying no compensation due as the ferry was cancelled due to bad weather. The weather was magnificent that day and the cancellation text and email both say ‘technical’ This is unbelievable.

Resent the email and got a reply. I am getting a refund of €150.
