Passat B8 1.6 tdi (152) change battery ???

Hi Guys, Recently start / stop has stopped functioning on my Passat 1.6 tdi, I believe this may be a sign battery reserve may be beginning to deplete, while I do mostly short runs and it’s still starting fine, it’s the original battery so 7 years old, My question is would it be advisable to have it replaced at next service…

Keep going til it doesn’t start.

that said I’d investigate why stop start isn’t working as there might be another issue there other than battery.

You should get a warning on your infotainment screen when your battery is almost depleted or needs replacing
