As Dusk Falls looks to be getting good reviews so far

If you have issues you can manage the graphics Vs performance in the settings 🤣

Watch Dogs 2 is a great game just a heads up in case someone didn't know.

I disagree entirely. It was the start of the series going downhill. But that seems to be the case, each game has it's fans and the fans of the other games seem to dislike the other entries. I much preferred the more serious tone of the first. Didn't even touch Legion.

    I'm enjoying SnowRunner:

I liked them all. They were all different from each other too. The seriousness of the first and then a bit of fun thrown in, in the second. It had serious moments though too. The second is still my favourite of them all. I actually played it twice once on PC and then again on Xbox.

Like the new Saints Row, I just couldn't warm to the characters. They were all people I would avoid in real life. And then the clothing was so opposite to what I like, I couldn't even enjoy seeing the character on screen. It all ended when I went to a biker clothes shop and biker it was not. Just not my thing. I did enjoy the gameplay, and the main story seemed interesting, but the characters ruined it for me. And Legion seems like it's for the Fortnite crowd. I'm hoping GP gets Saints Row, because I won't be buying it!

I used to subscribe to Game Pass every now and then, but now I'm subscribed to it until September 2023.

I think it's great as I tried games I would never think of buying like PowerWash Simulator or SnowRunner.

Road 96 is a fantastic addition and I'm looking forward to playing As Dusk Falls this week.

Next spring will be great with a new Forza Motorsport game, Redfall and Starfield coming.

Finished Omno today as it's leaving gamepass soon. A fantastic gen of a game, very light puzzle platformer, around 4-5 hours to finish it, more for collectibles if that's your jam.

This is bang on I picked up WD2 after enjoing the first but it was horrible, I would say I played for around 5 hours or so but never returned. Nothing about it was nice it was far too try hard to be hip and cool.

As Dusk Falls has a cracking good story, nothing wheel changing about the gameplay but I'm totally hooked.

Liked omno alright. I just did it with a walkthrough for achievements but it was fairly chilled out.

I just started this earlier after seeing the comments above. Seems good so far. I have got 100% on each level so far without a guide, seems easy enough to do. I was stuck on the first level at 75% and just kept wandering around and eventually seen what I had to do which was collect energy and bring it to the spire.

Got one of the endings for As Dusk Falls last night. Really really enjoyed it. Obviously you need to know what type of game it is before going in. Played it all on xcloud on my phone and it has full touch controls rather than a virtual controller. Can definitely see myself playing through again to see different endings.

A family sharing plan for GamePass is coming, and it's available to test in Ireland if you're an insider.

Might be worth it depending on how many accounts you can add. Conversion seems to be approximately 60% of the time of a GPU sub, stated as 18 days of family per 1 month GPU.

Joined the insider program to see how much it would cost, after you do so the Windows Store pops up with the special tariff, so you can still back out. Cost is €22/month, with the first month discounted to €1; for you and up to four friends.

You can only add up to eight people to your plan in a calendar year, and guest accounts can only join up to two groups in a calendar year, even if they leave and rejoin the same one.

That's mad Ireland and Columbia get first dibs for what ever reason.

Probably low take up numbers so wouldn't risk mayhem , carnage , outcry like in a big country.

Would this do away with the 3 year top up trick I wonder?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,400 ✭✭✭sniper_samurai

You can do the 3 year top up trick and then convert to the family plan the next day.

When this comes to Turkey could be a game changer...

Anyone playing the game preview of Turbo Golf Racing?

It's pretty fun! Huge Rocket League vibes. You basically have rocket powered cars to guide your golf ball down a golf course and into the pin.

You play against up to 7 others, but they are all just ghosts on the course, they can't affect you or your ball.

Played it last night and tonight for a few hours ago. I love RL, so this was easy to enjoy also 🙂👍

played the beta they had a few months back. enjoyed it but felt it was lacking long term. I play a lot of Rocket League prob one of the games I play the most. I think with Turbo Golf if they keep adding to it and different modes etc it will be good, but if it is still lacking it will die off.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,743 ✭✭✭marcbrophy

I never dipped into the beta myself, so can't compare. But yeah Rocket League is probably 1 or 2 in my most played games at the moment too.

It wasn't always the case though. From launch until 2020 it was a novelty I dipped into every now and then. But since they added seasons and it gives you something to do, I've been playing every Thurs, Fri and Sat for about 4 to 6 hours at a time haha (i still suck compared to pro's obviously).

That's something that Turbo Golf Racing needs to get right from the start, you are right. Not sure if it was there in the beta, but there's technically a season 1 going on in the game preview right now! Getting the new items as you level up is really fun near the start of a game, cos you've usually just a bare bones setup and anything new helps! They'll probably get a few seasons in by the time the preview is up (meant to be 12 months), but then they might have a huge reset before it goes gold, you never know!

I spotted that True Achievements have given the preview a glowing write up, despite the lack of achievements 😁

yeah I had it on PS4 back in like 2017 but never really played it. Only started really getting into RL when it got added to gamepass and myself and mate played it a lot kinda still do. we are better than when we started.

tried Turbo Golf yesterday, it runs a lot smoother than the beta but still cant see my self playing more than 3-4 games at a time.

Cooking Simulator looks like it could be another time sink, I'll find it hard to tear myself away from Two Point Campus though. So addictive, just finished 3 starring the first 3 colleges and opening a knight school now 😂
