Things to do with kids near Bunratty

Hi there,

My family and I are travelling to stay in Bunratty for 5 nights next month. What would you recommend for day trips with kids? Is Limerick too far a spin?

We plan on spending one day in and around the Cliffs of Moher.

I assume you've already decided you'll go to the castle and folk park in Bunratty one day anyway? Depends what age your kids are I guess but its a nice place. Chickens, ducks, pigs, cows, sheep, rabbits, calves, Goats etc, few old style cottages with open fires and that, and a playground.

Limerick City centre is only about a 15-20 min drive from Bunratty, its very close.

The next exit off the motorway from Bunratty on Limerick side is Cratloe. There's a forest trail walk there if you're feeling outdoorsy, nice enough place.
