Finishing off a pergola and decking and I'm looking to put a wall around 2 parts of it as in the attached picture. I'm looking for some alternatives to doing for block work and rendering because I much prefer working with timber. The fall back will be doing stud work with cement board The fall back will be doing stud work with cement board but that looks like it will be north of €800 compared to about 250 (excl foundation).

It probably take me half a day with the cement board compared to two or three days for the blockwork full stop has anyone any compromises like using marine ply or something are any completely off the wall ideas. Ideally I'd like to render look to tie in with the house
