Shane Coleman in today for some reason?

Has a panel of people on about the price of hotels.

Shane quoted €200 for a room in a hostel recently.

Once the Ukranian elephant in the room was mentioned he moved the discussion swiftly on and totally ignored it.

Listened in the car to Hotel representatives talking utter claptrap. These folks seriously deluded, Value to be found my arse. What planet are these people on. The Travel writer, particularly nausiating and hardly objective, she's completely beholding to the industry and hotel/ Venue owners. The texts said it all and that Voucher story particularly galling.

Simple fact, the Tourism Sector has been gouging for decades, they had a chance at redem with staycationing last year, took the absolute Pee, This year is essentially exposed what's being going on, but it's absolutely nothing new.

Is maith an scáthán súil charad.

    Inconvenient truth for virtue-signalling Shano.

Pat Kenny discussing the TV licence at the moment. Doing a good job backing up his former buddies in the state broadcaster. At least it's being discussed, which it never would be on RTE

Could Newstalk not hold the Love Island shyte talk until after 12? Be right up Andrea Gilligan's street.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,582 ✭✭✭leath_dub

It sounds so wrong Pat having to discuss this vacuous sh1te.

Ultra-defensive from Pat when he barged in with his "well we just followed the science" comment, lol!

I've heard whispers that recent Covid totals have compelled Pat to re-recognise the fundamental importance of counting skills.

Yesterday the first hour was filled with a full 30 minutes on why Castlerea was the cheapest place to live, all pre-recorded, from locals talking it up to Dubs having moved there saying it was nice but there was nothing in it. Next 30 minutes discussing how you could poison your guests at your BBQ. That took of the entire first hour of the show plus 10 mins of sport.

This was a Monday morning, Pat's first day back from holidays, following a week of Boris resigning, an impending vote of no confidence in our bunch, cost of living sky rocketing....etc. It was awful stuff, fluff, fillers, call it what you like but not 9am Monday morning stuff. I actually had to switch off as I don't listen to RTE in the morning. Cutting edge stuff? Not

Absolutely. Always followed the science which backed up his paranoia. There were loads of different views amongst scientists and medics. He ignored the ones which didn’t suit for as long as he possibly could.

The dumbing down of Pat Kenny and his show continues apace. Now discussing "Dripping Gold Tan" FFS!

A glorified advertising slot - Pat has really sold out at this stage

Interesting slot on Forensic Science which I enjoyed then onto fake tan, second time this week I've had to turn off due to vacuous content.... (the other was Love Island) and it's only Wednesday!

I wonder did Noel Kelly ask Pat to dumb it down a bit because his golden goose 'Claire Byrne', has been outed as a total lightweight.

Pat in Sligo talking to a local about a public plaza, asks "where will I park my car". True colours from Pat.

He should have flown in by Sligo Airport. Maybe he's a qualified private pilot?

Pat has a guest on reading from a script about poor treatment in an ED.

Sounds like a 2nd years English essay

    Mr K gone again, damn!

Sorry Bobby, you're still traffic in your electric glorified milk float, you're still causing wear and tear to the roads, pay your way!

Were there no newsreaders or media students available today? Bobby Kerr is a terrible stand in.

I like Bobby but his voice grates. It sounds like talking is causing him pain and I'm amazed anyone thinks it's fit for broadcast. (still 100 times better than Jonathan Healy, mind)

Prefer Anton Savage as a stand in for PK!

are all these mica campaigners as clueless about everything as this woman

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,163 ✭✭✭✭whisky_galore

I'm all for diversity but it's like listening to a concrete mixer.

Up for the match slot that only 2 counties care about.

Yep. Can't understand how this would be tolerated on any radio station. Nice man, I'm sure, but he sounds horrific.

I don't mind his voice, but can see how it annoys some people. Me for example would rather jump out a window than listen to andrea gilligan

Bobby is a decent host thou

I'd prefer to listen to a potato than brid smith. a potato would have vastly more knowledge on any subject
