You have dem politicians inciting violence, you have a supreme court judge escaping a murder attempt by the hand of demo activist, and this just in the last few days

and after 2 years you are still running the same Jan 6th rehash stuff? LOL

The President of the United States tried a to commit a coup. The rights main issue seems to be which bathrooms people use. Like I said it's the whole trans thing is just to get the base fired up about something. Always a minority that they attack.

Nothing. I don't think anything needs to change. Transwomen are not women. They're men, and as such, can continue using the male toilets or male changing rooms. Men won't care, even slightly, should a transwoman enter their area.

But should a Transwoman/transman enter a female only space, the biologically/nature women should be able to request them to leave. They should have that choice.

You keep pushing the extremes.. which is often the problem with the Trans topic. If the trans advocates/activists were more willing to moderate their views, there would be a greater chance of some compromises happening.. but all you're doing, is encouraging a resistance to such beliefs to form. People are getting rather annoyed at the aggressive attitudes of the advocates/activists.

    "Hang Mike Pence"

Ah yeh...but what they really meant to say was...

    🤣

Trans and LGBT miscalculated the effect that their fringy demands would have of ordinary people. You can hardly call it an attack on minorities when people are simply pushing back, they are not having it.

Yeah that .6% of the population you never have to meet or interact with if you don't want to sure are a big problem. Hate to break it to you but society has moved on, trans people are recognised and have the right to exist as they please.

have the right to exist as they please.

You keep bringing this up as if someone was pushing for them to be deleted, executed, or whatever. What are you basing the idea that anyone wants the end of transpeople? And no.. leave the religious nutcases out of this.

Also, they have the right to exist as they please, except where it involves other people. That's the problem. Those other people have rights too.

Society is a compromise of competing rights. No rights are absolute and static (except the right to life). The right to own slaves was once universally accepted but we don't see anyone advocating for it now.

I feel like I'm kicking a dead horse at this point

No one wants to delete trans from society. However society isn't going to make the adjustments that LGBT is asking such as, trans competing in female sports, trans entering female exclusive spaces, the introduction of 100 genders and pronounces, teaching genders in elementary schools, puberty blockers for kids, etc...

If trans want to be accepted they need to take the feedback on board

Well you're too late the jobs been done, happened in 2015. Most people don't even know this don't even care. Only a tiny minority are upset about it because their status quo has changed slightly and conservatives are afraid of any change by nature.

Who said they had a propensity to be sexual predators? No one said that.

Except it hasn't been done... otherwise you still wouldn't be exaggerating the points on this thread, and Trans advocates wouldn't be so hostile in their demands.

Nobody said anything he claimed. He twisted others points so that he could defend the "victims" and rise the wonderful pedestal of ultimate virtue signalling.

    What a rush!

20Cent, you're more than welcome to prove me wrong on this, but I don't think you can. You did misrepresent the posts on this thread.

A vile fascist dictator is currently firing missiles at apartment blocks and shopping while the "left" are apathetic at best. That's the real fail, the "culture war" nonsense is a distraction.

    🙈🙉🙊

Not really Trump called Putin a genius and the republicans are voting against aid to Ukraine. It's Biden helping them.

Plenty of examples in this thread and elsewhere. That they will be exposing themselves to kids and a danger to women in bathrooms. Even a comparison with Larry Murphy.

Ok. Give us some direct quotes of posters calling Trans sexual predators. You did say there were plenty.. so.. let's see 3 different posters saying that.

And now comes “sealioning,” a noun on Merriam-Webster's “Words We're Watching” list and defined as “a harassment tactic by which a participant in a debate or online discussion pesters the other participant with disingenuous questions under the guise of sincerity, hoping to erode the patience or goodwill of the target

haha... no. I couldn't give a crap about your patience or goodwill. Nor are these disingenuous questions/requests.

You have made statements/claims about posts (and by extension the posters) on this thread... and I have asked you, more than once, to back up your claims. You haven't. You've danced around them, deflected, and now.. sought to play the victim.

So, drop the victim play, and back up your claims. Surely that's easy enough? No?

I've no idea who runs either, in fairness to, er, me. 😁

There was a point to the list, including the multiples and the duplications. They do help demonstrate that when someone rants about NGOs, they might imagine in their happy slacktivist fantasy land that they're striking a blow for freedom against the wokey wokey Soros mob, or some such guff. But they're not really. Oooh, the government pays out grants to bodies. Well, you coulda knocked me over with a feather when I heard. Or not.

But you'll keep making whatever mistake it is you make, because you'll see something and it'll draw you back in. You're hypersensitive about xenophobia. That's a fact - you get uptight about it when it's never even been mentioned. But also, you could be a bit like Mrs Doyle, and "maybe you like the misery". Honestly, you won't add to the sum of your own happiness (let alone anyone else's) by getting upset at the things people say on the internet, and then getting uptight and upsetting yourself over the things people don't say on the internet. It's a mug's game.

    So what?

What has anything of that got to do with "leftism"? The list of "NGOs" who get government money isn't some kind of looney woke conspiracy. The list is, for the most part, made up of organisations who do stuff that is probably really worthy and interesting to them and their members, and not of much consequence to anyone who isn't involved. Charities, sports clubs, schools, yadda yadda.

If you want to start a thread about the efficiencies and inefficiencies of the public service, be my guest. But that's not what the stuff in this thread is about. It's fuelled by people who can't tell the difference between their local GAA club and Big Gay Al's Big Gay Boat Ride (or somesuch), and who feel some need to get mad about something.

Come on, saviours of the nation. What's your beef with such "leftist" NGOs as Beaumont Hospital? Is Christian Aid Ireland a woke plot? Is it all the fault of some Community Games drag acts? Would y'all like to beat up on the deaf, or a Cystic Fibrosis charity? Is it Drogheda's homeless you hate, or Dublin's? How exactly is the Guinness choir or a miscarriage charity using government cash to out-woke y'all?

Did I mention those politically correct chancers in the hospices, Loreto Crumlin, and that well-known hotbed of the woke revolution, Kerry Diocesan Youth Services? And where would the rainbow flag waving lefties be were it not for pitch and putt, Alzheimer's support, and the Samaritans?

Top class internetting there, lads. It is all lads, surely?

Yeah the UN feel like they are striking a blow for freedom.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,177 ✭✭✭Fandymo

Throw up a few there. Let’s see all these examples.

In fact, many figures on the left - such as George Galloway - are openly blaming the US (and quite regularly, too, on his YouTube talk show) for fomenting the conditions for the war as well as helping to perpetuate it. Owen Jones is following a similar kind of tangent. So they're not even hiding it. Several people I know personally have their social media feeds stacked high with that kind of nonsense.

They adopt a kind of "yes, we can all agree what Putin is doing is bad, BUT...<insert mental acrobatic reference to the US and/or Western powers>".

    It's pretty pathetic, actually.

Cassidy Hutchinson, former aide to Mark Meadows is the surprise witness at the Jan 6 committee hearing today.

She had to be kept secret due to threats on her life, she will be able to give testimony about what happened in the White House that day. She has already testified that the GOP leadership knew Trump had lost fair and square. Also about the plan to have fake electors from the states usurp the will of the voters. Will probably be even more revelations since they brought her back under such circumstances. But a trans person wants to take a pee..................

Will be interesting. Now, any chance of those examples multiple people have asked for?? Even the most extreme one where trans people were “compared with Larry Murphy”??

    Spoiler Alert: They weren’t
