    With the price of meal at €400+/ ton will it pay to meal feed weanlings before sale this backend?

    It all depends, grass will be losing its power, cows will be getting lower in milk, if you’re going to sell in autumn sales nuts/meal and a vitamin drench would be advised to have that nice floury calf, if you’re going to keep to go to grass next year you may get away with without.

    Based upon last winter’s sales extra weight pays

    The last few years it did not pay to have heavy weights, over 450,where as I think this year it will pay. Heavier bulls can be finished quicker.
