Any sign of ROD in the squad??

    O'Hora presumably not 100% either 🙄

On paper, it looks like copy and paste from previous games unless Horan has something up his sleeve

Mayo back in the mighty black, bright blue and red kit on Sunday. Surely a sign they will win easily.

Should be a penalty for those who share Tim O Leary's nonsense rumours in this forum.

That he did hamstring again in AvB game in Limerick last weekend

Every big game this season I’ve seen the named team and thought the same, hoping Horan has something up his sleeve or some unexpected surprise he can spring on the opponents.

He never does. It’s all very one-dimensional under him, and that’s fine when it works, it beats most teams in the country. It hasn’t been working very well in the championship so far, would it be enough with a fully fit panel? Possibly, but we don’t have the luxury of that.

If that’s the team that takes to the field on Sunday with no changes, I’m not optimistic. Would be delighted to be proven wrong, of course.

I’d be another one advocating for AOS to come off the bench rather than start games, but he’s not the only issue in that team, nor is he the most pressing one.

Clifford named in starting 15 but no Jack Barry or Adrian Spillane in the 26 🤔

Potential weakness around the middle for kerry with those 2 out, we need to dominate there to have a chance

Yes, a lot of head scratching here in Kerry about that one.

Not that many people convinced about David Moran, could be an opportunity to be seized by Mayo.

Then again in 2019 everyone thought Mayo would lord it over Kerry in midfielde and look what happened.

Who does Coen pick up? Not either of the cliffords, not O'Brien, not SOS which leaves Geaney or Moynihan. I don't know enough about Moynihan to comment but if he's isolated against Geaney, he's in trouble

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 820 ✭✭✭RedDevil55

Coen might do okay on SOS. Wouldn't get done for pace and he'd be well strong enough for him too.

    No subs bench ..

Horan sure loves to keep folk guessing with his line-ups , but his footballing methods won't change so opposition teams will be ready for them anyways, so I don't understand why he feels the need to apply such secrecy.

Going by that line-up, it's Kerry by 8/9 points pulling up

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 743 ✭✭✭gigantic09

He's not obligated to name subs so why would he?.I'm sure you would only have a derisory comment on them anyway if he did

I have a couple of upper Hogan tickets going spare (section 729 row i) if anyone is interested. DM me. The lad I'm going with is after getting 2 premium's through work!

I have one ticket for the Cusack, it's in 307 row NN so hopefully there'll be some cover from the elements!

Good luck to the minors today, would be great to get the win. I believe Kerry were very defensive against Tyrone in the quarters so it'll be interesting to see how we handle that

    In the game in killarney?

We had one fit midfielder than day in Aido, nobody to play beside him and nobody on the bench. If there was one day we weren't going to lord it over anyone nevermind Kerry in Killarney it was that day.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,662 ✭✭✭Blackjack

That was my recollection of it that day. Vaughan was far from fully fit and Seamie wasn’t fit either. I didn’t know anyone that thought we would have had midfield advantage that day.

I remember the injuries, but the narrative in the lead up to that game was that Mayo would put an end to Kerry's 20+ year winning record in Killarney.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,897 ✭✭✭HBC08

    Ah seriously,

Nobody in my group was saying anything like that and if they did they would have been laughed out of it.

Now in fairness to you and I know you're not an nonsense poster I do remember Kerry folk seemed unduly worried but anybody close to the camp knew we hadn't a chance in that game under those circumstances. It would all come down to the Donegal game a week later and it did

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,341 ✭✭✭✭Fr Tod Umptious

    Im probably misremembering it.

But I do think there was a certain giddiness about Mayo's chances.

A bit like now where one suffers from confirmation bias, one finds reasons why Mayo might win, without looking at the reasons Kerry more than likely will win.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,413 ✭✭✭naughto

Dont no what's going on,bench is weak as well when dud mark moran last play, never mind connor o shea

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 66 ✭✭Vish81

People are very sentimental on these boards but lets be honest here, horan, his coaches, and all his S&C staff need to go if we lose tomorrow. .

Anyone thats passing this off as unlucky needs to have a word with themselves, its being happening non-stop throughout his 2nd tenure

Hora suffering from concussion in the week building to the game , like what the actual fook is going on ?

We are physically killing each other, self sabotaging any chances that we may have had of landing Sam Maguire..

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,724 ✭✭✭irishgeo

You have no idea how he got his concussion could have been an accidental clause.

Do we actually know he had concussion or are we relying on some previous Mayo donators 'sources' on twitter?
