CI race numbers haven't been posted yet. Can I still race?

As the title says I'm still waiting on race numbers. I just upgraded from a limited to full competition license last week so I've never had any race numbers. I did get an email with my updated license though Will I able to race in any events? I've searched posts and some people seem to think no, others think the race…

Will I able to race in any events? I've searched posts and some people seem to think no, others think the race organisers may have spare numbers on the day that can be used if a deposit is paid. Anyone have experience with this?

You'll need numbers of some sort. Where are you based, I have numbers from a previous year I could lend you and just let the Comms know before race start.
