Dealing with Nettles/Thistles in a Paddock

It's not necesary to top them, grazon is good on nettles but slow on thistles.

Weeds'll be dead in a week, you probably could top then if you wanted to top

It wouldn't be left three weeks here in some paddocks. seems to work grand

An organic farmer tells me he sprays nettles on ffriday and mows them monday morning and it works grand.

Spray here every 6 to 7 years

See the local know all spraying every second or third year and then complaining that the spray is useless. Not because of mowing but because of mixing too strong and the plant is dead before the chemical penetrates the root system
