Help for LC student who missed CAO deadline !

    LC student wrongly assumed that CAO deadline is 1st of July and did not apply on CAO website 😯

    What options does one have now to enroll into a university in 2022 if no CAO application was made till date.

    Any chance of they getting admission into their preferred course like Computers/IT.

    Please advise.

    You did not apply, so there is zero chance of getting your course, sorry.

    All is not lost however, find a Computers/IT related PLC and do that for the year and reapply using both your PLC and LC results next year. You may find (as many do) that studying Computers/IT is not what you expected, or you may absolutely love it. Better find this out in a PLC rather than in a college course.

    thanks .. So now the only option is a PLC course and applying using this year's LC results to university through next year's CAO.

    Or you could take a year off and volunteer or work for the year and reapply with your LC results next year, but then you take the chance of points going up a lot.

    The value of doing a PLC course is huge, particularly in the IT area where many people are not at all clear on what studying the subject at third level involves, but it also gives you a potential second route into your course next year.

    Thanks. Yes the PLC courses appeared to be very useful for the IT field as it prepares you for the job market straightaway with decent earning potential.
