External pebble dash effect

Hi. I decided to power-wash the outside of the house before painting but some of the front pebble-dash effect was removed. I'm just wondering if it's best to paint over this or cut out a square portion or mabe it can be replaced? Thanks in advance

Do not paint the float finished rendering, because it will be necessary to remove the paint to re-dash the wall with pebble dash.

Also it will not have a good appearance with painted pebble dash and some patches of painted smooth render.

Firstly people ought not use a commercial power washer on the external finish on domestic houses.

It appears from the photos that the existing pebble dash had deboned from the rendering.

I would scrap off all the rest of the pebble dash below the concrete cill area.

Retain a Plasterer craftsman, and get him to pebble dash that section of the wall.

Then repaint.

Thanks for the feedback C. Eastwood. It's clear now that power washing wasn't a good idea. However my question is if the pebble dash effect is best replaced or will it look ok to cut out a square patch and paint over.

It won't look good at all, and from the appearance of your pebble dash, more is likely to come off over time. Best fix is to scrap off whatever has come loose and get it redone. Bigger job, will cost more, but will look a lot better

That's not pebble dashing. It's a textured top coat, such as weber. Maybe contact them and see if it can be patched.
