That Stroll radio message, like a 5 year old who wasn’t allowed to have ice cream.

I know. If he was P16 you’d say fair enough but he was P18.

taking the radio comments out of context again, the bit they cut out before was

Race engineer: Why are pirates called pirates Lance

    Lance: Because they...

Yeah but he was metres away from actually getting to put in his time for a chance to move up before the red flag.

Sainz blocked the McLaren about to start a lap?

Ricciardo in a Haas sandwich and out in Q2. Norris definitely has the edge in that teammate battle

    Delighted for Vettel and Alonso.

Even if Riccardo isn't at the top of his game Lando has to be top tier.

    Alpine looking punchy

Daniel Ricciardo’s horrible season continues. He’s not getting it lined up.

    LeClerc is just flying it.

    Alonso is doing very well.

Pile up there to end the session.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 41,844 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Well ****. At least LeClerc got through. Cars all over the shop. There’s an alpine at a weird angle further up.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,359 ✭✭✭waynescales1

Is there an Alpine in the wall too?

A bit of a mess. Pity we couldn't see the end of Leclercs lap, seemed to be up a few tenths

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,665 ✭✭✭✭Busi_Girl08

Lewis is probably raging he didn't get to finish that lap

No one getting close to Leclerc today

Wonder if Perez will have a "slow" start tomorrow just to let Verstappen go ahead.

    Sainz crashing again 😂

I'm sure Ferrari won't be sorry Sainz crashed there!

I'm not going the blame the marshalls, but I am sure from Perez's onboard footage you can see a lad looking for a flag and waving a green flag eventually.

Will be interesting to see if Sainz had yellow flags.

They didn't show a replay of what happened the Alpine?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 41,844 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

Sainz doesn’t need another trip to the stewards. There was enough time for him to see the yellow flags and slow down.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,790 ✭✭✭✭Burkie1203

Did Sainz ignore a double waved yellow there

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,315 ✭✭✭thefa

I’d prefer if there’s no position penalties for anything and the lineup is as is.

Realise Perez ended that session but it’s weird seeing a driver who’s pretty average at qualifying, out qualifying Max for the second time this season. The bias of the car towards Max’s driving must be well and truly gone.

They need to introduce a rule that if the session is stopped at a point where resuming isn't possible due to the time left then they reset the clock to 2.5x the current pole time

Very small amount of debris after Tsunoda hits the barrier is an instant red flag.

Perez blocking a significant portion of the track in a blind corner is only a yellow.

    Good ole stewards...

We don’t know. He better hope there is circumstances that helps him because I agree with Martin Brundle that there was enough time for him to stop.
