Doesn't look like there's a thread yet (sorry for the lack of an intro 😁)

Danny Ric in the barriers in FP2

Pitwall: "Is the car all right?"

Danny Ric: "Em, I'm all right"

    😬

    Well its about time 😄

Verstappen gets so so close to the barrier on the exit of what I think is turn 18, looks like a tricky left-hander over a crest after the tight right.

Hes bound to clip it at some point.

Hamilton almost a second off Russell. LeClerc tops the board. Hopefully no reliability issues and he can grab pole and P1. Sainz only 4 hundredths behind, Perez next almost 4 tenths behind

Max had a big lockup as well. Loads of crashes in FP2. Looking like there could be rain on Sunday, might make it more interesting. I'm going to miss quali unfortunately but Ill watch the race.

Looks like Nico is with sky all weekend. One comment on f1 show about how Russell is getting more from car than Lewis, I'd expect more over the weekend. Always enjoyable.

Merc back bouncing but this is due to mechanical traits, not aero.

Russell said he had both wheels off the ground in T5, insane.

Brundle commented on that with Max kissing the barrier.😃

I really hate hate hate how the media cherry pick stuff like this to create non existent drama. See the transcripts and you can see exactly why Stallard asked if the car was OK. I am not blaming it on you btw, but more and more I feel us F1 fans are being sold a pup in how things are presented. All about those clicks

Will be a good quali session, be a good pole for Sainz to get.

Not at all - I absolutely agree with you, but watching it live it came across as being pretty frosty. Even Danny sounded pretty surprised with the question before it was clarified why they had asked (which wasn't broadcast until slightly later).

It is true what nico said, in that Monaco is a momentum circuit. The final sector especially if you keep the speed going it’s great and it looks great for us the fans.

I didn't actually realise Rosberg and Hamilton were properly childhood friends and all.

Brundle earlier criticising Checo for slowing Hamilton down in Abu Dhabi

I'm sure they brought it up before but any time I remember it I just thought it was the corporate/popular narrative thing.

    Good to see Alain Prost.

Ferrari easily the best car here but can’t help but feel Leclerc pushes when he doesn’t need to!

The track is ramping up really fast. The two haas cars looking good in this qualifying.

These cameramen need to work harder to find crashed cars

Red flag for that? Seems unnecessary

    Very strange red flag.

Man, it's a sweet day outside. Nice to take a rest from it to watch qualifying.

    Incredibly strange red flag

there was no need to red flag the session.

Wow Russell is impressive. I will bet that he will finish well ahead of Hamilton in both qualifying and the race.

Quite a bit of traffic there!

Just that break in running will cool the track off a bit. 1.13. Hamilton up are well safe.

I'm gonna predict a red flag, only 3-4 will get a time in.

Delighted to be wrong. :P Nice one Lando again.
