Hi guys, Recently Ive serviced car with different mechanic and somehow he didnt know how to put bottom cover correctly and got ripped while driving yesterday on the motorway.

Question is could it be obtained in 5hird party shops (beside scrapyards or dealership).

Ive seen them on ebay but just not sure would they fit correctly.

    Thanks

Might be possible but you would all the info model , engine size , year.

Might be small differences between models and if you can get part numbers off the parts maybe from main dealer replacement should match.

Parts Finder and others are out there and just fill in details on site.

    Its mazda 6 1.8 petrol 2008

Spoke with my second mechanic who does the car for few years now. He said he could find it but will be tricky so either fix current one with bigger washers or wait till he gets one.

Main dealership is a ripoff for any car.

Yes bigger washers and even self tappers and zip ties all been used in securing splash shields under cars . Hmm how rusty is your sump comes to mind also as some models rust very badly.

It was the main dealer i mentioned to get a part number off the tray but it still might be on yours.

Some of those securing screws might need to be replaced also.

Original screws seems to be too rusty and have to br cut off. Tried to open them up with WD40 but they just turn all together with the nut. I did temp fix with few washers but would prefer to have it done properly. Also left fender was damager and will have to be replaced as part of it was rubbed of the tyre. There us a massive hole in it.
