Suspended floor replacement

Hi all,

I've recently purchased a 1950s bungalow with suspended floors throughout. It has a 2ft void below, I am looking to replace the floors with a solid concrete floor and UFH.

My question is, when replacing with concrete could I lower the floor level? Even by 100mm or 200mm? I have 2 steps up into my home it be great to only have 1. We are relocating all doors in the home and the windows are Low as it is. The toilet drain in 150mm below outside ground level not sure would this be an issue?

Any information on this be greatly appreciated. Thanks

In expect not as there be damp proof course... when you remove the floor of one of the rooms you should see it just below floor level... a plastic strip running betweeb 2 courses of blocks...

I can't see a DPC when I look under at a few spots.

I think be better get some local advice... i did not thnk of this earlier but the void in itself would prevent dampness... what kindof soil is under house... also underfloor heating will be inclined to draw moisture so be careful...

I had someone out to have a look. They have recommended spraying a closed cell foam under the floor to bring it up to floor level then clip underfloor heating ontop. Anyone ever see this done? Was going to go with hardcore, then concrete, radon, the pir board and the underfloor heating but with the closed cell insulation it acts as radon barrier and its airtight apparently.
