Rest day over and back to it. A punchy stage where presumably the GC guys can take it relatively easy. No surprise MvdP is the favourite but there are a few quality riders still looking for a win who might pip him here. Girmay, Cort-Neilsen etc. Not sure how some of the sprinters will fare here. It might be too much but the likes of Ewan, assuming his team perform too, will probably have a go.

Don't think Intermarche were anywhere near as organised as Hatch was saying - for much of the last couple of km, they were scattered all over that group.

MVDP is some man for emptying the tank, but knowing when he's beat and dropping the head, did similar in Flanders last year vs Asgreen.

Opening a pressurised container (with an unrestrained stopper) on the ground so your face is over it, and the same approach has resulted in a near-miss less than a fortnight ago? Try that **** at work and you'll be having a visit from the HSA or civil lawyers.

Go back to more normal sized bottles so they get picked up to open and you can aim the cork at some journo you don't like. This trend of moving to the "comedy" bottle sizes just so the label can be bigger for TV - sheesh.
