Recommendation for good NCT garage (south Dublin)

Just discovered that the excellent Brendan Pigeon Motors in Rathmines has closed after 32 years - they have got our '00 Ford Focus hrough the NCT for years. Any recommendations on similar independent garages in south Dublin?

Most genuine garages will recommend going through nct before bringing fail form to them. NCT is a cheap check for what they do. Definitely get car serviced once a year and with the failed NCT they can address the specific issues raised. Before bringing to NCT your self check basics such as lights, bald tyres etc

Hi John, you forgot to mention your opening times.

As mentioned already, the best pre NCT check is the NCT test itself. Do the basic checks yourself listed on the NCT website, then send it through and get fixed what/if it fails on.
