Best affordable car service JFK to Manhattan

Hi Guys,

As the title says. We are a family of four with four bags of luggage. One company quoted us $170 for the trip and I feel I should get away cheaper :)

Any suggestions?

There’s a fixed fee for a taxi from JFK to Manhattan AFAIK. It’s $52 for the fare, irrespective of numbers.

We always used to use either Carmel limo or Dial 7 but I haven't been in NY for years now so I don't know what their current rates are but they're both still operating.

Thanks for that. I see see Carmel is $77 for one trip - a lot less than the $168 of the other quote :) I will consider them and the taxi as well.

This will be our first time there, so I want to do it the easiest way possible :)

As said above, it's a flat rate of just over $50 plus toals. i did that exact same trip the opposite way last year.

We looked on booking and booked it for 150ish return I think. We are arriving in the evening so it's worth it.

Flat rate with the yellow cab. $50 I think. Did it 2 weeks ago.

You could seeing there is a cab company that all the Irish use in Queens, I lived in the Bronx and a lot of the Irish used Break for the Border cabs. If they hear the Irish accent they may go easy on you.

The taxi rank is the cheapest. Maybe $64 including tolls. We gave him $80 recently.

I travel to JFK a bit with work and always use Uber which is handy to set up on your phone regardless as it's a better way to get transport while there.

Are Ubers allowed on to the grounds of JFK out of interest? I have been to airports before that do not allow Uber drivers pick passengers up at the airport.
