    Hi,

I am getting different brands of 5kW batteries mentioned across the various quotes I’ve received. Is there anything in particular that I should be evaluating when comparing similar kW batteries? I hear people saying they “like” certain battery brands etc., I’m curious to know what it is that they “like“? Are there smart features of benefit?

Things I'd look at would be capacity (kWh) and max discharge power (kW) as well as the number of expected cycles. I'd take a look at the datasheet for different batteries you're being offered and compare those statistics

There's obviously other considerations, if a battery is slightly lower capacity but half the price then it could be a good deal

I think people like certain batteries mostly because they're convenient to put together, or they built one cheaply by buying cells and assembling them together

I think the main difference would be the discharge rate, I have Puredrive and you can discharge down to 10% on warranty. A lot of other makes are 20% discharge afaik. The Puredrive is very user friendly when adding another battery to it, literally 2 minutes if even to connect them. Just make sure whichever battery you buy can be added to easily if you need to, most batteries need the same make to be added. Also the price, Puredrive are more expensive than the likes of Dyness and similar brands but cheaper than Huawei which is over rated IMO.
