    Transfers only.

Spending counts as exchange and as long as you are under the exchange fair usage limit it’s free. Over that it’s 0.5% on the free plan.

I mean something has to bring in revenue so that they can continue to pay wild amounts for new customers.

And with loads of competition now it will pay for the user to shop around.

So I went through a loan application there for a very small amount, to refinance an existing loan onto their far better rate and it was very surprisingly rejected.

I got on to help to see if they could say why and they say Revolut won't disclose the reason for rejection.

Which means I have no idea if I was rejected because they couldn't find my salary in a linked account, or for some credit reason, or whatever else. Bit strange.

Does anyone know if loan applications will show up on my credit report? I'd just try it again, but am reluctant to if I will just end up polluting my credit history with this stuff?

The new fees only apply to transfers so card payments will continue as they are currently

I'm looking for a good option for a joint card account that's similar to Revolut, which both my partner and I have... But need a joint version which Revolut can't do

Monese have a joint account option. You get two cards. I've been with them for a few years without any trouble, but I don't use the card much. I only have a single account so don't know exactly how it works.

Any loan application over e500.00 will show up on a credit report.I recently applied for an increase on a credit card, that will show up too.

A question about the new transfer fees. Every week I send money to my sister, I send euros but she's in the UK. Will I be charged a fee? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

    Yggr of asgard will know

I'm assuming revolut to revolut is not charged ?

But revolut to any other bank is ?

If its the former, its a big downgrade

The premium members discount is just 20% btw

To answer my own and others questions

Revolut to revolut are still free globally

The charges seem only to be for transfers to non revolut accounts

The standard card terms are already updated but only valid from July 8th

Can I ask what IBAN you use the pay to your AIB Credit Card from Revolut please?

    I've been trying to set up payments into IE75AIBK93029699903142, as specified by AIB;

Revolut adds XXX to the BIC when I set up the account with this IBAN, so the BIC is AIBKIE2DXXX.

I've tried it with both my credit card number and my account number as the reference, but AIB keeps bouncing back my test €5 payments.

Can I ask what IBAN and BIC are ye using please?

Ignore Revolut adding XXX, that's just the default ending of a BIC that can be omitted.

The IBAN I use is IE60AIBK93029699903412 which I believe is just for payments originating from domestic accounts. There is a separate IBAN for payments from international accounts, which may be what you have, but I don't know off hand.

Just to be clear, the previous posters are talking about topping up their Revolut accounts using an AIB credit card, not the other way round.

I don't transfer cash from Revolut to AIB, I just fund Revolut from my AIB card.

When I pay my AIB card from my current account I am paying to

    IE75AIBK93029699903142

With credit card number (I think) as reference with no issues.

I did have to call them to get the IBAN iirc.

You don't need IBAN etc to top up your Revolut account using AIB credit car. You just need credit card details.

And I set up automatic direct debit from current account to clear off credit card bills every month.

    I trust this is helpful.

Guys are you seriously posting your entire account numbers on a public forum?

    This too shall pass.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 244 ✭✭lordsheepface

Its not their own ibans that theyre posting. Its the ones they say are for aib card services which would be public.

It would be helpful alright, but they're trying to do the exact opposite of what you are trying to help them to do!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,559 ✭✭✭TheChizler

I use IE92AIBK93011399945304 for international payments to credit card, the XXX works fine with N26 anyway.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,043 ✭✭✭✭Mimikyu

I’ve also used IE92AlBK93011399945304 for payments from my N26 account to my AIB credit card, this is the IBAN AIB gave me for payments from non IE accounts. Card number as reference.

IE76AIBK93011399905046 is the one I was given for payments from an IE IBAN, again using card number as reference.

Im looking at signing up to revolut, I tried Wise, but my account is stuck on blocked even though i uploaded my documents.

Does Revolut give you an IBAN address ?

What about the debit card ? how much does it cost ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,308 ✭✭✭masterboy123

Is Revolut the best way to pay for goods in US $ in person?

    Thanks 😊

Exact same as you, wanted to refinance a small loan for better rate about a month ago but it was rejected. I got on to their chat support and they said it was due to my central credit register report. So applied for ccr report, have that back and its clean as a whistle so no idea why it was rejected. I wonder if they are only approving a very small amount initially or they have some oddball criteria.

Re the ccr report it did show on it that they (revolut) requested a ccr check, don't think that's a major deal in itself but I guess if you had a lot of those it could potentially affect future loan applications as it looks like you're constantly applying for loans.

    Thanks,

I have standard free account. Is the conversion rate better on Premium/Metal subscription?

  • Administrators Posts: 56,234 Admin ✭✭✭✭✭awec

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one with this issue, I was really shocked when it was rejected.

I know I could go to any bank and request the exact same loan and I'd have no bother whatsoever getting it at twice the amount!

I suspect, as you say, they have some very odd criteria at the moment or they are limiting the number of approvals.

Thanks folks, yeah the IE92 IBAN seems to work. I did a transfer of a nominal amount today, and it hit my VISA account. I’ve done a larger transfer, so hopefully that will land on Monday.

Awful shame that AIB don’t publicise the IE92 IBAN. so you have to contact support to get it.

Went to withdraw cash from a euronet ATM with Revolut Visa and warned me of a 5 euro fee! I was able to use my KBC card and no fee whatsoever.

Euronet does not charge for withdrawal on their Irish ATM if you use an Irish Card which is why KBC was free but your foreign card (Revolut) was not.

Revolut used to issue MasterCards that were coded as Irish so you got around it but by the looks most of the new Visa cards are showing as non Irish.
