Can anyone recommend a good dehumidifier for drying clothes. Where can I buy it in Galway? I have read that they are far better for your clothes and more economical than clothes dryers. Thanks Mar
Great yoke. Only 160 watts so uses far less power than a dryer
Hi dbas, thank you for getting back to me. I really appreciate it. Mar
Lidl has a powerful one https://www.lidl.ie/p/house-home-spring-cleaning/dehumidifier/p23190
Thank you so much for this
We got one in Argos, was a few years ago now so not sure if they still stock them.
I got this one 5 few years ago (was €250 then including delivery - inflation or what)
it is excellent, really helped removed condensation in the house that time. ( the humidity in this coastal City of Galway can be very high at all times of the year).
Got a new central heating system in since + working from home last two years have not used in the last 2 years but gave it to my brother last year when he moved into an old house and it really dryed the house up and he uses to dry clothes in the box room and it works wonder he says.
We got the same one here last year, not Galway but next day delivery.
Hang clothes on the airer at nighttime and they are pretty much dry in the morning.
Screwfix - I have the Blyss 12 Ltr one for a bedroom on a wifi switched plug. It turns on and off, unlike the more expensive ones with fancy digital displays, that if the power is interrupted, need manual intervention to set back on again.

Got one from this company last year, good price and fast delivery, they based in Cork.
Sorry for hijacking the thread
But the HEPA filter, would you have to change it often or at all?
I did not need to change. If using to dry clothes a lot I say would need to be changed more regular.
Got the 20l Meaco myself two weeks ago. Absolutely brilliant buy worth every penny. Glad I seen this thread now. Working very well brilliantly built
Hope you get many years from it. They are great for days like today.
Thanks....Was thinking the same this morning when I seen the humidity indicator a bit higher than the last few days
