    Ah right.

So you've gone from "they are both as bad as each other" to "the dems are worse than the republicans".

Why not come out and say that first? Why does it take someone a few posts to say what they really mean? Is it a "working up the courage" type of thing?

    Let's recap.

You said they are as bad as each other.

I listed out eight solid differences between the two parties.

Your response is effectively that the response by dems to what the reps have done is the issue, and you completely ignore my eight examples of what the reps have done. As if those things don't exist, or aren't important!

    Pure disingenuous nonsense.

My guess is that you don't like immigrants (based on your two examples of the issues you have with dems) and because of that, you'll hold your nose with regards to what Trump and the GOP have done and continue to do.

Operation Warp Speed was really anti-science. I hated when the Trump administration invested so much into the development of covid vaccines.

Perhaps do some research into the conduct up to then, to include denials of its seriousness, making the wearing of masks an infringement of human rights, gross mismanagement of resources and funds, and of course super spreader events held by Trump et al.

Operation Warp speed was just throwing money at everything , most of it to cronies and unqualified hacks who fleeced the US taxpayer for billions in unfulfilled PPE contracts etc. etc.

As far as actual vaccine development goes , it had almost no impact on the "science" part - By paying huge amounts of money to the various Pharma companies it ensured that the US had access to lots and lots of vaccines to inoculate the population - However the GOP then spent their time telling their voters not to take said vaccine although to his credit , Trump did not do that at least.

well said, the fearmongering machine that is Fox News certainly knows how to brainwash the gullible!

It mind boggles me that if folks weren't so lazy and did a quick google search this shite is easily debunked.

But nevermind Tucker/Hannity et al are always right..

That spike in May 2019? Republicans didn’t want to discuss that spike iirc… what they called the migrant caravan invasion, 24/7 for a while there, was in 2018, for the midterms. After the election of course that bumper coverage disappeared entirely. Looking at this graph, that “invasion” was a point on the chart that was pretty hum drum standard rates of illegal migration compared to Obama years - around the 50k line on that graph.

Indeed these numbers paint a much different image than the one MAGA spun, that migrants were scared of Trump or something. Clearly whatever they come here for, they’re leaving things worse than a man with a fake tan.

    Again, just talking points.

As I said earlier, Biden is trying to force oil companies to drill more not less.

POTUS is right to enforce that. They need to show they are utilizing the leases they already have before the fed needs to lease more land to them. So far they’ve sat on the land to inflate scarcity. And yes before any low information poster pigeons on by, they have all the necessary permits to proceed development.

This administration is so quiet. 4 days of no news for Joe Biden in this thread? Serenity!

The break of silence: Kamala Harris tests positive for Covid. I can already hear people yelling "See? Mandates don't work" - while they scream and shout to have Covid Mandate, Title 42, made permanent because it targets migrants, not themselves.

Yep, nothing to give out about.

Record job growth, deficit slashed, no international embarrassment, excellent foreign policy implementation.

Tim Scott just whined on his Facebook that Biden has created, among other things, "the worst labor shortage in history"

Which is a hilarious way of spinning low unemployment numbers.

You left out one of the major facts...................... NASDAQ at lowest point since Dec 2020

Go Brandon go, who needs money in their pension funds anyway.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 86,683 ✭✭✭✭Overheal

Whose pension fund is in such a volatile portfolio that a short term dip in the NASDAQ spells doom for the fund?

  • Moderators, Recreation & Hobbies Moderators Posts: 22,866 Mod ✭✭✭✭Brian?

i think you mean “Let’s go Brandon”. It’s pretty embarrassing to try to use such a witty line and get it wrong.

The Nasdaq is down because Russia invaded Ukraine, amongst other things.

A short term dip? Sorry no time for Biden warriors or the uneducated.

A completely irresponsible pension fund. One so irresponsible it doesn’t actually exist. But that’s just reality. That poster is clearly detached from it.

Yes of course it is, Biden is not to blame for anything now is he. Only problem with that statement is the downward spiral started before Russia invaded but that doesn't fit the narrative now does it.

Biden is to blame for many things. The sinking Nasdaq isn’t one of them.

Downward dip started last week, looks like a correction in Tech surrounding Musks buyout of Twitter, eg. there was a selloff at Tesla, bc clearly Musk will be divesting his attention from it. Netflix has also been in trouble this week, announcing it is shedding subscribers, its animation division, and it is doubling down on video game services.

Why happily? Would you not try to produce some proof that the policies of Joe Biden as president are responsible for the fall in the Nasdaq? You’ve made a claim, support it.

If you have a pension fund what were the annualized yearly growth previous to 21 and 22? And what are this years projected numbers. Your fund has experienced growth in excess of 12% for the 4 or 5 years. Most funds last years had returns of just over 4% and this year most funds are looking at projected losses of 8% to 10%/. couple with last 5 years worth of averages your funds have unperformed by around 17% to 20% from Jan 21. Simply facts do a little research. Not all funds but most.

    A short term dip?

That's correct.. NASDAQ is still up 15.13% since Biden took office. What did you think was going on?

Great comeback, I mentioned the NASDAQ at lowest point since Dec 2020 and you comeback with S&P500 charts. Now it all makes sense why you support Biden.

Do you have a problem with Hitchen's Razor? You've said a lot of crap without evidence, it is all dismissed without evidence.

And yet , it is still significantly higher than at any time during the previous Presidents time in Office - Or indeed any other President in the History of the Nasdaq.

    image.png

But that has nothing to do with Biden just like all the rest of the Presidents before him ,because they have next to nothing to do with the Stock Market.
