Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Type 2 extension cable?

    Hello,

So, I finally got a Wallbox charger installed by carcharger.ie . It works. The Bluetooth thing is unreliable, failing to pair half the time, so I can't use the lock/unlock feature (unlocking seems to require Bluetooth?), however this can probably be worked around; I am also trying to talk to support.

There is an inconvenience though. The charger is "tethered", it has a built-in cable, not a socket. And the cable is 5 meters. As the connector is on the front of the car, I end up unable to charge the car if I reverse it into the driveway, because the cable is slightly too short. This means I have to park it "face first" and then reverse out of the driveway, which is less safe (though mitigated by the reversing camera) and technically illegal.

Is there such a thing as a Type 2 extension cable, which I could use on top of the existing cable?

I know I "should have" got one with a socket but I was unaware of any such offers, at least at a reasonable price.
