watched the first episode last night. also not sure what to make of it. The TV guy on Sean Moncreiff gave it good reviews yesterday too. I will watch a few more episodes, at least they are short enough

its quirky, there are some good one liners in it, the chemistry between the two leading ladies is good, there's a delinquent daughter in it who steals the show imo, there's a gay side side story to it as well - its kinda scatter-gun hard to pigeon-hole, 😐️ but worth a watch

Yeah, I saw Kaitlin Olsen in the first ep as the daughter and thought I'll keep watching for her if nothing else.

I see Gold was added today. Nice little Irish film from a few years ago with Maisie Williams and James Nesbit.

Yeah they're all there. There was an article saying there would be a delay with them coming to Irish prime, but obviously it was wrong.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,154 ✭✭✭Pen Rua

And you have to go looking for it! Thought there would be a big splash banner to promote such an acquisition.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 43 IrishHusk

Have to agree. Some great content on prime if only we could find it. Surely it is not to difficult to add a James bond collection banner.

Amazon Prime is awful for finding anything. The above example... search 007 and 10 results with only 3 Bond films, search James Bond and within the first 5 results is Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, search Bond and the first 8 results are Bond (Connery and Moore) with the rest scattered way further on.

I find it much easier to use Just Watch to find shows and movies as Prime's search would turn a person off using it.

Are all the Bond films up? I can't seem to find one or two of the early ones, Dr. No being an example.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,154 ✭✭✭Pen Rua

I've tried various permutations of Dr No / Dr. No / Doctor No / Bond Doctor etc... Even "Sean Connery" doesn't yield anything.

Same here, Goldfinger is also not showing, on justwatch, both are showing as not on amazon.

I don't know if it's a UK vs Ireland thing or just my app/device combination but I'm having none of the above issues.

A little further down an entire carousel devoted to the collection.

The collection lists all 26 movies including the ones people here can't seem to find.

11:14, good show gas to think Ben Foster now a leading actor literally getting a further ''reduced" role there.

I’m on with Amazon customer service at the moment

Music Unlimited is not available in any price bundle

I only get No Time to Die

I have to search for each movie by name and apparently Dr. No is not available.

My goodness but the Prime app on all devices is absolute garbage.

You would think that typing in 007 or James Bond would list James Bond movies first but it brings up a list of unrelated muck with 007 films scattered randomly throughout

Watched Utopia ,the American one with John Cussack, (he's not coping with getting old by the looks of it) so-so , the premise is interesting

It isn't great...and extremely poor versus the channel 4 version

Watched The Misfits last night starring Pierce Brosnan. A fairly terrible film, was bitterly disappointed as I do love a good heist movie.

Watched “All the Old Knives” last night, lost patience with it half way through, jumped it on to the last 10 minutes and seemingly missed nothing. Good premise but just didn’t see any chemistry between Thandiwe and Chris, I’d recommend it to someone more patient than me, just felt it dragged a bit after the first 50 and plot was going nowhere fast.

I watched that film couple of nights ago. I thought it was excellent. Had everything I wanted. Bit of a thriller, bit of mystery. And not knowing where it was going until the end. I’ve seen Chris Pine in couple of movies recently - the finest hours, the contractor, he’ll or high water. He’s a much better actor than I had ever thought. I had put him down as one of those leading man lady charmers. But I was wrong.

Yeah, quite liked All the Old Knives too... nothing groundbreaking, but it's pretty well put together with very little resources. All built on a few conversations across a couple of different settings - I can always appreciate a story that can sustain itself through pretty much dialogue alone.

i needed a new chromcast and splashed out on the dear one "google Tv" and it has utterly transformed my Prime viewing, it just seems to bring the better movies out onto the main screen, i can never find anything on the prime app itself worth watching,

Anybody have any success in finding Dr. No in the Bond section. Was hoping to start watching them from the beginning and its the first film but had no joy actually finding it.
