Oh has the glitch been fixed then and you can no longer get it for free (or a fiver even) until September?

If not will just cancel and see what deals there are from mid May.

  • Moderators, Computer Games Moderators, Paid Member Posts: 11,169 Mod ✭✭✭✭F1ngers

    What glitch?

You're paying €5 p/m until sept, you will then be charged €15 p/m unless cancelled.

Why would you cancel? €5 p/m is as good as it gets.

Cheers, just got another 3 months, my current sub was up in a few days so perfect timing

  • Moderators, Business & Finance Moderators Posts: 7,182 Mod ✭✭✭✭Sheep Shagger

Agreed, will keep it. Was just someone else said it was free till September (but by the looks that was a misunderstanding on their part).

This is what I meant for glitch. Look on the right hand side. It doesn't say €5 a month.

Did you manage to get your code to work. My code will not link, the nowtv website keeps throwing up a message saying they are having trouble with vouchers right now.

If your getting that message contact them via online chat in your account.

I did this and it was due to the fact I was already subject to an offer with that particular code, even though I had cancelled.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 964 ✭✭✭d51984

I got a code here over a month ago for free sports extra. Still have it and no money taking from me, tbh dont even think they have my bank details.

    Its a disgrace Joe!

Wonder if SKy are really struggling with sub growth/retentions at the moment given SkySports can be had for a tenner these days?

I would really love Sky Q to get sports in UHD and ability to record, but the price differential between sat and streaming is just to great, given you can get BT sports (and others) for twenty all in.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,802 ✭✭✭✭salmocab

I’d think people consumption is changing massively, with so many streaming options for tv along with illegal options too. Now tv is probably a good model as it allows people dip in without signing up. A problem with sports subscription in particular is you end up effectively paying for soccer which is fine if you want it but if your interest is in other sports you are actually getting a bad deal.

Would anyone have a sky sports code available? I’m at the end of a 3 month €15 deal and the young lad has waded into a life of following Liverpool ☺️

    SPXMGRF4CMO - Sports Membership at €30.00 for 3 months (exp. 30/6/2022)

Taken from an above post, worked fine for me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 597 ✭✭✭space2ground1

Sorry I didn’t realise that was Sky Sports.

Its giving me an error saying ‘You're already on an offer. You'll need to wait until you're in the last 30 days of this offer before you can apply another voucher.’

My Sky Sports offer expires in a week though. 🤔

Ive 2 months of a Sky Extra offer remaining.. could that be blocking the Sky Sports code? One offer at a time?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,344 ✭✭✭Cloudio9

Yes this. Most of your sky subscription is going to premier league football. I only really watch F1 (just two races per month) so am prepared to pay 10 or 15 a month for it but not 40.

I have boost but recently cancelled my sports extra with the Rugby about to wind up for the season. Is it worth keeping the boost for the entertainment package though? Has anyone noticed a diiference in quality streaming TV shows as opposed to sports? Supposedly it's full HD plus surround sound but hard to tell if we're actually getting that in reality
