Confusing Android internal storage issue Samsung A10

Hi.

Just checked my internal storage in My Files.

Something doesn't quite add up. Nearly everything is moved to the SD card or stored on the Cloud, including photos.

It tells me that there is 52 kb used in Images, but all my photos ( as far as I am aware) are in Google photos or on the SD card. The colour code below states that 'Images' are in the light pink, but light pink isnt being shown on the screenshot below?

How can I check what image is on the internal storage?

52kb is basically nothing when compared to 32Gb (0.00015 %), so it won't show any colour bar. 52kb could be just the space taken by the system to manage Images folder.

Thanks, I done a manual calculation, and the total used space adds to 16.59, combining the apps & the system files, as shown.

Hi.

Checked my files again today and it shows the storage for Images in My Files has risen from KB to MB. Should it be something to worry about?

I checked my storage again today and my Other storage has risen for some reason.

I calculated the storage & it's just not adding up based on the figures. I have recently updated some apps.

What do you think is causing the Other storage to increase?

Cache, temporary data etc.

All of these increases are very small, very normal and nothing to be concerned about.

Do you understand KB, MB, GB?

You’d be better off spending time reading up on storage so that you understand the data that you’re seeing.

Just don't know how it could have clocked up 28.23MB out of nowhere. I've only updated a couple of apps in 24 hours.

A single image can be more than 28.23MB.

I suggest listening to AndrewJRenko's advice.
