    Good Morning,

My wife and I have applied for Irish citizenship, through naturalisation based on our stay in Ireland for more than 6 years, about 7 months back and still awaiting a decision. We have an 10 years old girl who has been in Ireland for more than 6 years too but was not born here.

Can someone guide if we can apply for her citizenship too or is it that we have to wait until one of us parents gets the citizenship first and then apply for her.

Please guide if anyone has information Thanks

you need to naturalise first. you can then apply on their behalf for naturalisation using Form 9.

@LPC786 can you advise how long it took to get acknowledgement that your application was received? or did you receive one?
