Dead Kennedys!

Do they still have Jello Biafra as the singer, just curious.

Edit: Scratch that just looked them up, wouldn't be interested if Biafra isn't part of the band but I would definitely check out a Biafra gig alright.

Yeah, he left in 1986. The rest of the band is still there, so it's not quite one of those "band name is original, none of the members are" -type of outfits.

Can't say I've heard them without Jello, though..

Is that the one with the nutter vaulting over Biafra mid-performance. mad **** altogether.

I experienced a few of these mad gigs in a small night club venue in Glasgow that was like five floors up in a place called Night Moves (There's a tiny bit on the net about this club in Sauchiehall Street) about 1982 or 1983. Never saw the Dead Kennedys though but saw Nick Cave's Birthday Party with possibly the Cocteau Twins supporting, Twisted Nerve and DOA amongst others, crazy phucking gigs with crazy phucking audiences much like you see on that Dead Kennedys footage.
