Do they sedate you for adult braces in Ireland?

Hi! I’m 25, and while I don’t need braces, my dentist said they might make cleaning easier. I am all for braces, but my concern is - do they put you to sleep when you’re getting braces put in? I have a huge fear of being put under, so if that’s something they do, I won’t be getting braces at all.

Just looking for other’s experiences and advice?

No they dont - unless i would assume there's a specific need to do it.
