No Tenancy Agreement as Licensee but Need One for Mortgage Application

I rent a room Moday to Friday as a licensee for work but have no formal tenancy agreement. One of these documents required for the mortgage application . Would a simple signed letter from the landlord attesting I rent a room for €x/month suffice?
