Try or no try there has to be a yellow here.

very surprised no yellow for multiple penalties conceded by leinster before try there.

I’d imagine because we scored he didn’t send anybody for a 10min break

Solid pressure from Munster, you could see that one was coming. Leinster need a bit of posession now to slow down any potential Munster momentum and to quieten the crowd a bit.

One of my major pet peeves of the modern game.

Justified yellow card forgotten about because a try is scored.

    Bullsh1t.

Ryle sounds heartbroken at that crooked throw.

That's bloody criminal, everyone forgot about the ball.

In from the side of the ruck surely

    Another great try.

Leinster just look so much more well coached and organised in attack. Every player is a passing option and every carrier hits the line at pace.

Two tries and an assist from Lowe.

    That'll wind the crowd up.

    You love to see it.

    Shocking from Carbery and Farrell.

Seriously though … the rucks. Free for all.

He really seems to enjoy playing Munster. Love to see it indeed.

Munster just aren't good enough at the highest level. On paper their starting front 5 was superior to Leinsters, but they never actually showed that on the pitch. Scrum was iffy and they didn't show any sort of physical dominance.

De Allende and Farrell have been shown up by Henshaw and Ringrose over multiple matches. The skills of the latter are used so much better. I've seen them passing behind and around Munsters centres so often.

Lastly, Carbery just isn't the answer at 10. I think your centres are an issue, but Carbery doesn't use them well either. His decision making is too slow. Dithers on the ball and slows everything down.

Touch of 2006 about these rucks - it's an absolute melee.

As good as Kendellan has played, Coombes was a huge loss. His ball carrying would be very useful in these close in spells.

Never enjoy seeing the team I support lose, but scoreline is pretty accurate for me as regards where these two teams are right now.

Van Graan has been with munster for 5 years. That's 3 years too many imo.

The most disgusting thing is that he was offered 2 more years by Nucifora et al!!! It was VG who decided to turn that down and take Bath's (presumably) better offer.

The man is inept. We were warned about him by South Africa fans at the time, who celebrated his departure from their coaching set up.

Munster have stagnated for 5 years. As I said already, the worst aspect of all of this is that there were a cohort of people in positions of power who thought it was a good idea to keep this man in this job.

    Disgraceful.

Well done Leinster btw. Fair result.

easy to look so much better coached when they are, that’s not talking down Leinster at all it’s just so evident.

box kicking, hoofing ball, one man out carries, slow forwards on the wing, the same old same old.

We should have got rid of van gran in December. Very little go forward ball.

very little to be optimistic about in my eyes

Toner has extended Conans irish career by a few months.

Doris and VDF are just head and shoulders above every backrow in Ireland currently. Carrying, physicality, workrate is just unmatched.

    Coombes in a moon boot

Thought the referee had a good game in general. Good communication and very consistent. Though we should have got a yellow. If not after DDA’s try, certainly in the last 3 minutes there. Very poor discipline in the red zone from Leinster.

I'm hoping Cullen and co can get more out of Jenkins than Van Graan has. Not really in any way visible. Not convinced.

Lols to JVG thinking that he can “outsmart” the best defense of the league by playing the most conservative game plan imaginable! Crazy stuff.

Must be pretty frustrating for a Munster fan to see De Allende’s reaction to his try. Played 30 odd times in 2 years, feckin off at the end of the season, got dominated on the pitch today, ran in for a handy try and starts giving the Munster fans stick as his celebration! Maybe he was upset at all the booing they gave Ross Byrne when he was taking kicks.

Very happy with that Leinster performance. Pre match I was hoping for a win but didn’t think they would get the try bonus point.

Munster can’t get another coaching setup quickly enough.

Better coached they may be, though the gulf in quality between the Leinster and Munster squads means it was difficult to imagine this fixture going any other way.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,154 ✭✭✭✭Neil3030

If Coombes hadn't gone off that would have at least been a lot closer. You could see him punching at least one of Munster's chances over down in the red zone.

As I said in the Munster thread, the word is that Tabai Matson will take over from JVG. Fear for Bath next season under this outdated and limited coach.
